Waverley Netball Centre is proud to offer an All Abilities (AA) Program to people with an intellectual and/or physical disability. We give them the opportunity to be active and develop new skills in the sport that we all love - netball. All Abilities netball participants benefit from specialised clinics that concentrate on building their knowledge and skills in a fun and inclusive environment.
Weekly Program:
During the season, we hold training sessions for our AA participants to help develop their netball skills in a fun, but focused format. Held between 10.00am and 11.00am each Sunday morning, our fabulous AA players are guided by our Waverley (and State Team) AA coach Naomi Linossier and assisted by a group of dedicated coaches. The sessions are held on Court 1 at the Waverley Netball Centre
Competition:
Each week during the Saturday competition, a team of AA participants get to have some organised matchplay when they play a match against a team in the 13/U Section 3. This match is played each week at 10.50am. The team does not play for points - it is about participating and having fun. This has also proven to be a rewarding experience for the teams that they get to play against.
The Association also enters teams in the Netball Victoria Association Championships in the AA Section.
No netball during school holidays or on public holiday weekends.
