FIDA

FIDA is The Football Integration Development Association (FIDA) and is a registered charity with Deductible Gift Recipient Status.  Having established an Australian Rules football competition for players with an intellectual impairment, FIDA now supports the AFL Victoria FIDA Football League.

FIDA’s role has changed to one of financial support for existing clubs, further development of the program by establishing new clubs and the support of the National Inclusion Carnival. FIDA also provides four members on the Advisory Committee set up by AFL Victoria.

Players of all abilities enjoy a caring environment that promotes fitness, fun, friendship and a real sense of belonging. Participation develops life-skills, self-esteem, confidence and improved health. Above all FIDA fosters RESPECT.
