Errington Reserve
Alice’s Playspace is a fun new play area at Errington Reserve, St Albans. It opened in July 2013.
This play area was made so kids of all abilities and ages can play together.
The play equipment is easy for everyone to use. There are spaces to explore with all your senses. Carers can stay close to the kids they look after.
There are great spots for barbecues and picnics, lots of seats, and trees. The toilets were fixed so kids and adults in wheelchairs can use them.
You can park your car on Percy Street if you use a wheelchair. It's easy to get to the play area from there.
Making this play area happened because Brimbank City Council and the Touched by Olivia Foundation worked together. This was the first time this kind of teamwork happened in Victoria.
The Touched by Olivia Foundation wants to see playgrounds like this all over Australia. They help local governments by getting money and support from private companies.
The play area is named after Alice Errington, who gave the land in 1910.
Alice’s Playspace is part of the Errington Master Plan.
