FIDA Clinics Montrose Football Netball Club

Overview

The Montrose Football Netball Club offers people with an intellectual disability, aged 18 and over, the opportunity to learn the skills of Australian Rules Football.

The FIDA football clinics began in Montrose in 2004. A joint initiative between the Montrose Football Club, Yarra Ranges Council, and Access for All Abilities. Our FIDA clinics offer an opportunity for adults with a disability, to participate in Australian Rules Football. The clinics can help to increase social interaction improve motor skills personal development self-esteem. All within the context of a supportive club environment.

The clinics are run every second Sunday, from 11am to 1pm, at the Montrose Football Oval. They are supported by experienced Coaches and Club volunteers. We welcome spectators with a disability, and their carers, to all matches and club functions.

There is a $10 fee to attend each clinic which includes lunch served by our wonderful volunteers. If participants are eligible for NDIS funding the club provides receipts for each attendance fee paid.
