Fawkner Leisure Centre

Fawkner Leisure Centre is part of Active Merri-bek, which is owned by the City of Merri-bek and run by Y Victoria. There are lots of ways to get active at Fawkner Leisure Centre. Work out in our fully-equipped gym, take part in one of our group fitness classes (offered through our weekly timetable), or achieve your health and fitness goals through personal training. We have heated indoor and outdoor pools, as well as a learner's pool and shaded toddler pool. Learn to swim with our swimming lessons, or enjoy some exercise through lap swimming and aqua aerobics. You can also relax in our spa, steam room and sauna. Fawkner Leisure Centre offers:

• a cafe where you can grab a coffee, beverages, and hot and cold food;
• a gym;
• cardio and stretching area;
• group fitness classes;
• indoor heated pools: 25 metre lap pool and learner's pool;
• outdoor heated pools: 50 metre eight lane lap pool, shaded water play area and shaded toddler pool;
• spa, steam room and sauna;
• outdoor BBQ and picnic facilities.

Our centres have various accessible facilities that provide access for people of all abilities. These include but are not limited to: accessible change rooms; aquatic hoists; aquatic wheelchairs; lifts; parking spaces for people with a disability; ramp access; recharging points for electric wheelchairs; and wheelchair access.

Accessible car spacesA clearly marked car park designed to enable disability parking permit users to safely access the building and their vehicles as easily as possible. :

Companion Card AcceptedA card for people with significant and permanent disability who have a lifelong need for a high level of support to participate in community events and activities. The card allows a person’s carer free entry into this venue. :

Hydrotherapy PoolHydrotherapy (or aquatic exercise) provides a safe, controlled space for both exercise and rehabilitation in a therapeutic environment. Set at an average of 34°C, the water in a hydrotherapy pool is significantly warmer than a regular swimming pool. :
