Toolern Creek Park is a large natural area in Melton South, about 35 km from Melbourne. It follows a creek with walking and bike paths, tall gum trees, and open space to explore.
You can go for a walk, ride a bike, have a picnic, or just enjoy being in nature. The paths are flat and easy to use for most people.
The park is still being improved, with new bridges, picnic areas, and planting happening until 2025.
Every Saturday at 8 am, there is a free 5 km parkrun that anyone can join – you can walk, jog, or run.
You can get to the park by car, bus, or train. The closest train station is Melton Station, about a 17-minute walk away.
It’s a great place for families, walkers, runners, and anyone who enjoys the outdoors.
