Serendip Sanctuary is a quiet place near Melbourne where you can see animals like kangaroos, wallabies, emus, and many types of birds.
It’s a fun place for a family day trip, not far from Geelong. The land has grass and wetlands, which are great for birdwatching and learning about nature.
You can go to bird hides to see some of the 150 bird species that live or visit here.
There is a picnic area near the main car park. It has free electric barbecues, tables, seats, drinking water, and toilets that are easy to use for people with limited movement.
