The Port of Echuca is a special place that shows what life was like in the 1870s. Back then, it was the third biggest port in Australia, after Sydney and Melbourne.
Today, real paddlesteamers still leave from the Echuca Wharf every day. In the 1880s, the wharf was 332 metres long.
The Port was also the setting for the TV show All the Rivers Run. When you visit, you’ll see what life was like in the late 1800s. There’s a Discovery Centre, steam-powered displays, and guided tours every day. It’s a great place to explore and learn.
