Modern two-story building with large windows, a red door, and grassy surroundings under a partly cloudy sky.

Since 1911, the Geelong Cycling Club has helped people enjoy the sport of cycling.

Today, we provide a friendly and supportive club for women and men of all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re riding for the first time or racing at club, state, or national level, you’ll find a place here.

We are the only cycling club in the region that offers road, mountain bike (off-road), and track racing for juniors, seniors, and masters riders.

Our History

The Geelong Cycling Club has been part of the local community since 1911. The club began as the Geelong West Cycling Club and was based at the criterium track at Geelong West Oval.

In 2017, the club moved to its current home at the purpose-built Cycling Regional Pavilion beside the Geelong Criterium Circuit on Barwon Heads Road in Belmont.

Over the years, many of our members have gone on to become Olympians, Commonwealth Games athletes, state and national champions, elite riders competing around the world, respected coaches, administrators, and ambassadors for cycling.

How to Get Involved

Getting started is easy. The Geelong Cycling Club is here to help you build your skills, enjoy cycling, and reach your goals.

If you’re new to racing, you’re welcome to come along and give it a try. Before you race, you’ll need at least a temporary racing licence. Trial licences are available through AusCycling, and a free four-week trial licence is currently available.

We’d love to welcome you to one of our race days or club events. Visit our cycling facility in Geelong or one of our race courses across the region and discover why so many people enjoy cycling with the Geelong Cycling Club.
