Established in 1858, the gardens are one of Victoria’s oldest botanical sites.
They are home to a wide range of flowering plants, exotic trees, colorful floral displays, and a collection of Italian marble statues throughout the grounds.
The gardens cover 40 hectares and include a mix of open parkland and traditional garden areas.
The Central Gardens feature a conservatory, fernery, heritage-listed trees, unique marble statues, and extensive garden beds with seasonal floral displays.
The gardens are open every day:
- 7:30 am – 6 pm (AEST)
- 7:30 am – 9 pm (Daylight Saving)
