Active Inclusion Workshop
To celebrate Inclusion and the launch of the Girls Who Ball program, Leisure Networks, Welcoming Clubs and Geelong United Basketball Association are hosting a FREE in-person Active Inclusion Workshop supported by the Change our Game initiative and the City of Greater Geelong.
Whether you're a seasoned coach or just getting started, this workshop is packed with practical strategies to improve your inclusive coaching. We’ll also cover relevant concepts to help you learn how to make your club a more welcoming and inclusive place for everyone to experience the joy of sport at your club.
If you're a volunteer, coach, or committee member at a club or community sports provider in the City of Geelong, or nearby areas, this one's for you!
The workshop is a core learning experience and takes attendees through a 3-step process:

- building cultural understanding
- inclusion in action.

- The case for change (Australian demographics and future societal make-up)
- The Experience- what do you want people to experience at your club

- Setting up and using a sensory space (understanding sensory regulation)
- Establishing an Inclusion Program at your club
