Visitor hoist induction session at Patterson River Launching Way, Carrum

Love getting out in a boat or canoe but require a hoist to transfer?
Parks Victoria has an electric hoist available for visitors in wheelchairs to transfer safely in and out of recreation boats and canoes. Located at the Patterson River Boat Ramps in Carrum, this hoist is free to use for inducted members of the public. The hoist is suitable for lifting visitors from their seating up to 46cm in height from the ground.
Visitors interested in using the hoist are first required to attend a free induction session provided by a qualified hoist trainer on how to safely operate the hoist. The next induction sessions are on the following date and times:
When: Monday 17 May | Session 1: 10:00am-12:00pm | Session 2: 1.30pm to 3.30pm Where: The Pontoon at the Patterson River Boat Ramps, Launching Way, Carrum
To register for one of the sessions, visit eventbrite.com.au and search ‘Hoist Induction’. Attendees are required to bring their own sling.
