The Y seeks to improve people's health and happiness by enabling people of all ages and abilities to become active and involved in their local community.

The Y Open Doors is critical to the Y’s work (YMCA Geelong Inc & Geelong and District YMCA Youth Services) in overcoming health inequalities, poverty, distress, helplessness, suffering or misfortune experienced by people and families facing disadvantage within our community. Through The Y Open Doors, with the support of our committed partners, we raise funds locally to provide access to health promoting The Y programs and services as local needs dictate.

People with disabilities, those experiencing socio-economic disadvantage, refugees and indigenous Australians are the main groups we seek to support. It is our aim that no one will be turned away from accessing a Y program due to an inability (not unwillingness) to pay.

Accessible car spacesA clearly marked car park designed to enable disability parking permit users to safely access the building and their vehicles as easily as possible. :

Companion Card AcceptedA card for people with significant and permanent disability who have a lifelong need for a high level of support to participate in community events and activities. The card allows a person’s carer free entry into this venue. :
