Aquazone

Aquatic and leisure facility which provides indoor and outdoor heated pools, a large gymnasium, spin bike studio, fitness programs and ancillary facilities (including a creche). Pool ramp or hoist access available.

The Centre is currently Warrnambool’s only aquatic leisure and recreation centre which provides aquatic and fitness programs at one location. While being Warrnambools only public pool swimming location. It provides equitable and affordable access to a wide range of aquatic and fitness activities.

AquaZone aims to encourage participation in physical activity and promote social connection and inclusion for the community.

Aquazone is located on the corner of Jamieson Street and Queens Road and has been the home of non-ocean swimming in Warrnambool for five decades. 

The original outdoor swimming pool complex was built in 1960s and included 50m Olympic, toddler and dive pools. 

In 2002, a new facility - Aquazone - was developed on the site with the addition of indoor 25m, program and leisure pools; as well as fitness facilities, and new customer and staff amenities. 

The South West community was very active in advocating and fundraising for the new facility. 

Today, Aquazone is the major indoor community aquatic and leisure facility in South West Victoria. It provides equitable and affordable access to a wide range of aquatic and fitness activities. 

It is currently Warrnambool's only aquatic and leisure and recreation centre which provides indoor and outdoor heated pools for fitness and play, a large gymnasium, group cycle studio and fitness programs. 

Group Cycle Studio

Our purpose built Group Cycle studio allows you to cycle indoors, whilst enjoying the beautiful vista of the Warrnambool Botanic Gardens.

The studio features:

• Air conditioning and sound system.
• 20 Technogym Bikes
• Technogym unity system- this links all the participants’ data and provides an immersive multimedia experience. Members can now join a ride from around the world with all their data recorded on their smartphone 
• Heart rate monitoring can be connected to your Mywellness App allowing you to track your progress 

Group Fitness Studio

• Our 170m2 group fitness studio boasts a padded floor and hosts a variety of programs, ranging from high to low impact to suit all fitness levels. The studio features air conditioning, sound system and a range of quality group fitness equipment.
• The studio caters for up to 20 participants depending on the class

Companion Card AcceptedA card for people with significant and permanent disability who have a lifelong need for a high level of support to participate in community events and activities. The card allows a person’s carer free entry into this venue. :
