We are committed to ensuring that our facilities are accessible to everyone, providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our community. 

Open seven days a week, Aqualink Box Hill and Aqualink Nunawading are two modern leisure centres located in the City of Whitehorse. 

Both centres provide accessible and affordable health and fitness services including pools, gyms, group fitness classes, stadium sports, and more

Structural Accessibility Features

• Step-free access to each centre (ramp access where steps are present)

Operational Accessibility Features

• Communication Boards ( PDF 866.44KB) are available at all service areas throughout Aqualink to assist with clear communication between staff and visitors. (These visual aids can help support communication for people who are deaf or hard of hearing, non-English speakers, or anyone who prefers visual communication.)
• Water wheelchairs available with weight capacity of 120kg
• Guide and service dogs are welcome
• Lap lane availability to show quieter times 
• Accessible gym equipment eg: arm cycle and adjustable cable machines 
• Dumbbells at an accessible height 
• Allfit Program, concessional prices and carers/companion card holder discounts.

Changing PlacesChanging Places is a voluntary initiative in Australia that advocates for an accessible public toilet and change rooms for users with high support needs who require assistance from a carer and specialised equipment such as a peninsular toilet, drop down assistive grabrails, fixed ceiling hoist and height adjustable fixed change table. :

Ramps to access poolsA pool ramp is an accessible way for individuals to safely and conveniently enter or exit a public swimming pool. A pool ramp can be placed within the pool permanently or have wheels to allow the steps or ramp to be easily moved or stored when necessary. :

Pool HoistA pool hoist allows a person living with any disability to have access to both above and below ground spas, swimming and hydrotherapy pools, without any manual lifting. It requires a staff member to operate it. :
