Special Olympics Australia Activity Cards

Special Olympics Australia’s Activity Cards help teachers and coaches improve the delivery of sport and physical activity for students with an intellectual disability. Our Activity Cards are for all school-aged students (and all other sports participants) with extra tips and advice on how best to engage a range of abilities. Special Olympics Australia has based the Activity Cards on the Playing for Life philosophy. The Playing for Life philosophy is a ‘game sense’ approach to coaching which provides opportunities for students to learn and develop skills through games rather than drills. The cards are flexible, adaptable and designed for use in a variety of school settings to increase the amount of daily physical activity for your students. Activity Cards include activity for six game categories:
Warm up Games
Net and Court Games
Striking and Fielding Games
Invasion Games
Target Games
Movement Games
