Bowls Victoria
Overview
Bowls Victoria provides opportunities for people of all abilities to participate in our sport; that includes making our sport more accessible for people with a disability.
Why play Bowls?
Bowls is one of Victoria’s most accessible sports. Regardless of age, gender, experience, or physical ability, bowls is a sport that can be enjoyed and played by absolutely anyone
Bowls Victoria works closely with Disability Sport and Recreation and is committed to educating the Victorian bowls community about how to be inclusive of people with disabilities, by ensuring a welcoming, inclusive and accessible environment.
There are elite pathways for para bowlers in our para-bowls squad that caters for: para-intellectual bowlers, para-physical bowlers and vision impaired bowlers. Bowls Victoria is committed to providing opportunities for players to get classified to compete in these respective categories.
These squads have regular training days at various Clubs across Victoria and compete in state and national championships, helping to promote parasport awareness and the opportunities in the sport of bowls.
