Ability Hoops is for autistic children with or without an Intellectual Disability. The program structure, resources and training, all developed through consultation and engagement with both disability and sport industry expertise to ensure its appropriateness to meeting the needs of the participants. The sessions will run for 7 weeks and incorporates a 1-hour session held once a week.
Each session will have a coach-to-participant ratio of 1:5, with a maximum of 10 participants per session.
A social story will be sent after registration. Visuals and other aids can be used throughout the program, with a sensory space available to participants if they need a break.
Please bring any sensory or other items the participant needs to feel comfortable.
